PROFILE - The Early Years
- piano since the age of 7.
- Classically trained for many years by Simon Bottomley of the prestigious Cheethams School of Music- Manchester
- Won several festivals and competions from the age 10-18 both as a solo pianist and duetist.
- Won the Manchester Grammar School senior piano competition at the age of 16.
- Achieved Grade 8 piano at the age of 17.

Development to the Present
- Guitar- Neil is also a skilled guitarist and can utilise this in performance if required.
- Self Taught Singer- from the age of 17-22, Neil developed a strong vocal accompaniment to his piano skills and is now employed primarily as a singer/pianist.
- Jazz- Neil has become renowned for his fantastic Jazz touch and improvisational ability which he learnt by as he puts it “listening to the greats like Herbie Hancock and Oscar Peterson and trying to copy!”
- Neil, since graduating University has gigged privately to great reception mainly in Manchester and Leeds. He has done everything from care homes to silver weddings to birthday parties to anniversaries to big corporate events.
- Neil currently has 3 weekly residences playing in 3 of Leeds’ finest bar/restaurants- Mio Modo, Zen Rendezvous and Plush.
